 The Garden City Bird Sanctuary is a 7 acre community nature preserve at Nassau County Stormwater Storage Basin #232 in Garden City, New York. The main entrance is located at 184 Tanners Pond Road.  It is managed by The Garden City Bird Sanctuary, Inc., a certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. From 4/26 through 10/26, the site will be open from 10 AM until 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting. There is no charge to visit. Over 250 families are members of the Bird Sanctuary in 2011, and we welcome new members and volunteers.
