The Garden City Bird Sanctuary, Inc. is looking for volunteers to help maintain the property and ensure the GCBS is accessible during the 'open season.' Looks great on a resume or college application, and you belong to a great group of people helping to make our community and world a better place!
We also accommodate groups, even during our 'off season' — corporate workdays, youth organizations, Scout groups, and more!
Our season runs from the last weekend of April through the last full weekend of September. During our season we are open on weekends only from 10 AM–6 PM, weather permitting. (Thanks to our dedicated Volunteer Corps!) The entrance is located at 182 Tanners Pond Rd. There is no charge to visit. The Garden City Bird Sanctuary, Inc. is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates solely on donations and volunteers.
