Celebrating 30 Years!
Thanks to everyone who came out for our first ever Moth Night!
We had some great sightings--In addition to the insects, we had a single bat, possibly an eastern red bat, and a couple of eastern cottontails. We also had a visit from a Great Horned Owl to the delight of everyone who was able to see it fly in, and out, of the Sanctuary. We saw and heard other bird species including Northern Mockingbird, Gray Catbird, Song Sparrow, Fish Crow, American Robin, and Chimney Swift.
There were local enthusiasts on hand to photograph and document our findings. Check them out on iNaturalist.
